What is the Family Involvement Team?

The Family Involvement Team (FIT) is a team of family specialists hired by the San Francisco Department of Public Health to act as a bridge between families, agencies and services, such as behavioral health, juvenile justice, special education, and foster care.

We seek to serve the diverse needs of our community.

What is Our Commitment?

  • Empowering families toward self reliance
  • Promoting and creating family driven services
  • Voicing family concerns to administrators, policy makers and service providers
  • Creating and promoting family and provider partnerships
  • Empowering families to help children reach their greatest potential

We see a world where families are equal partners in the delivery of care for their children’s well being.
